European and North American eShop launch games revealed

By Jack Taylor – 2 June 2011

Nintendo has revealed the games that will be available at the launch of eShop next Monday and Tuesday.

In both North America and Europe, eShop will launch with one 3D Classics title, three Game Boy games and one original title (referred to as "Nintendo 3DS download software").

Both regions will receive Pokédex 3D, which will be available for free from day one, as well as Excitebike, the first 3D Classics title and also available for free (though only until July 7).

For the Game Boy, Super Mario Land and Alleyway will be offered in both regions, whilst North America will also receive Radar Mission and Europe will get Tennis.

Along with the Nintendo 3DS Internet Browser and the ability to transfer Nintendo DSiWare games to Nintendo 3DS, eShop will be available following a system update on June 6 in North America and June 7 everywhere else.

eShop will be updated worldwide every Thursday, though the contents of the updates will vary by region.

Japan will receive a slightly larger update including six Game Boy games, two 3D Classics titles and two original Nintendo 3DS games.
