E3 2018: Splatoon 2 gets new Octoling amiibo, expansion dated

Nintendo has announced the release of the the Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion today, following the Splatoon 2 World Championship yesterday.

As part of its E3 2018 offerings, the Splatoon 2 World Championships followed the first day of Nintendo Treehouse: Live, and was capped off with two special announcements for Splatoon 2.

The long-awaited Octo Expansion, which adds more than 80 single-player missions and the ability to play as an Octoling; this launches later today (13 June) in North America and tomorrow elsewhere.

Nintendo also revealed that three new amiibo - Octoling Girl, Octoling Boy, and Octoling Octopus - will be available as a three-pack later in the year.
