Lycanroc form revealed for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon

A new, third form for Lycanroc has been revealed and will feature in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon when the games launch for Nintendo 3DS systems in November.

Revealed on the Japanese show Pokénchi, and confirmed on Pokémon's official Twitter, Lycanroc's new Dusk Form is designed to feature elements from its existing two forms, Midday Form and Midnight Form.

More specifically, the design is a quadruped like the Midday Form, but with slightly more hair and different colouration akin to the Midnight Form; as the Dusk Form name implies, it appears to be similar to a would-be transition from the Midday Form to the Midnight Form.

Its reveal marks the first time a new form has been confirmed for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, though new variants on Solgaleo and Lunala were teased when the games were announced.

The Pokémon Company also confirmed at the games' announcement that the Alola region would this time be home to Pokémon that didn't feature in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.

Lycanroc's Dusk Form can't be obtained in the wild, and the Pokémon website states that it can't be obtained by "ordinary methods" - also confirming that more details would follow in the near future.
