The final name for the upcoming Pikmin game on Nintendo 3DS has been confirmed, as has a new Pikmin amiibo and the game's July release dates.
As confirmed in April's Nintendo Direct, the previously revealed Pikmin game for Nintendo 3DS is now called Hey! Pikmin and will launch worldwide throughout July.
Players take the role of Captain Olimar once again as he travels through new worlds with the help of Red, Yellow, Blue, Rock, and Winged Pikmin, mixing the strategy of traditional Pikmin games with aspects of 2D platformers.
A new Pikmin amiibo will also launch on the same day as the game, and using it will enable players to call additional Pikmin into the team to aid Olimar.
Hey! Pikmin launches on 28 July in Europe and North America, and on 13 July in Japan.
Hey! PIKMIN: The first portable Pikmin game finds Captain Olimar embarking on an adventure through lush worlds with his trusted Pikmin by his side. In this new type of Pikmin game, players are tasked with throwing all types of different Pikmin using the touch screen to solve puzzles, overcome challenges and defeat enemies through side-scrolling levels. Hey! PIKMIN launches exclusively for Nintendo 3DS family systems on 28th July. A new Pikmin amiibo figure will also launch separately on the same day and allows players to call in additional Pikmin.
