Image & Form have discussed SteamWorld Dig 2 in their latest YouTube video, including development info and the possibility of a physical release.
In the latest edition of The Engine Room, the SteamWorld-focused show from Image & Form, community manager Julius and SteamWorld Dig 2 lead designer Robert discussed some updates from the game's development.
Confirming a summer release for the game, the pair also discussed the potential for a physical release, saying SteamWorld Collection performed much better than Image & Form had hoped and that the team "would love to" release a physical version of SteamWorld Dig 2 "at some point" in the future.
In addition, though the pair confirmed that though Image & Form was currently fully focused on SteamWorld Dig 2, the idea of SteamWorld Dig and SteamWorld Heist coming to Nintendo Switch was "not impossible".
They also said SteamWorld Dig 2 had been in development since early 2016 and was "huge" in comparison to the first game with more worlds and more bosses, and confirmed that the game will have HD Rumble support.
SteamWorld Dig 2 launches for Nintendo Switch this summer.
