ATLUS has revealed Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2, a crossover between the Etrian Odyssey and Mystery Dungeon series, due to launch for Nintendo 3DS this year in Japan.
As announced during an ATLUS presentation in Japan (via Gematsu), the next spin-off in the Etrian Odyssey series will be Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2, which will launch for Nintendo 3DS on 31 August.
Following up on Etrian Mystery Dungeon, which launched worldwide in 2015, the sequel features new characters, including a young girl who wants to visit the Yggdrasil Tree, a staple seen or mentioned in every game in the series.
Also new will be five character classes not seen in the first game, allowing players to create new characters who are buccaneers, alchemists, kenkaku, monks, or farmers in addition to long-standing character classes such as landsknecht, protector, medic, and seven more.
The first print run of the game will come with a 2-disc CD set, while a limited edition featuring a collector's box and a character art book will also be available.
