Two new Japanese trailers for the Nintendo Switch fighter ARMS have been released, introducing players to five characters and featuring some of the available weapons.

ARMS is Nintendo's unique new fighter for the Switch, and following its announcement in January, two new trailers have been published on Nintendo's YouTube channel in Japan.

The first trailer (embedded below) introduces the five characters - Spring Man and Ribbon Girl can both be seen on the game's retail packaging, while the lightning-fast Ninjara, bulky Master Mummy, and robot-piloting Mechanica will also feature in the game.

The second trailer showcases some of the ARMS - or weapons - the fighters can use, as each will have a choice of three different ARMS, including Spring Man's Fire Punch and Boomerang, Mechanica's Robot Rubber, and Ribbon Girl's Thunder Punch among others.

It also shows how a fighter can have different left and right weapons, allowing for more combinations during fights, given how each weapon has different strengths and weaknesses.

ARMS launches for Nintendo Switch this spring.
