Nintendo has revealed that a new Fire Emblem title will launch for Nintendo Switch in 2018, the first main series entry for the franchise since Radiant Dawn on the Wii.
As part of the Fire Emblem Direct on 18 January, among the announcements about Echoes, Heroes, and Warriors was an announcement of a much later release: a main series Fire Emblem game, coming to Nintendo Switch in 2018.
Nothing was shown of the game, which is presumably early in development, but it will mark the first time a Fire Emblem tactical RPG has launched on a Nintendo home system since Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, which made its Japanese debut in 2007.
Fire Emblem is coming to Nintendo Switch: For the first time since Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn on the Wii console in 2008, a new entry in the Fire Emblem series is being developed for a Nintendo home console with the ability to also be played portably! The new game is scheduled to launch in 2018. Nintendo Switch goes on sale 3rd March, and lets players take their home console games with them wherever they go. Software is sold separately.
